New Friends, an Interesting Typo and Some Timely Political Portraits

Please Welcome My New Florida Gallery

As winter approaches, I get a craving for a bit more warm weather. So here’s a flock of flamingos — called a flamboyance — standing in the water, just being flamingos:

Birds of a Feather - 40”x60”

I love the bright competing colors in Birds of a Feather, and the contrast between the the soft pink feathers of the birds and their fierce facial expressions. The painting is quite large, and stunning in person. You can experience this flamboyance at Marine Arts Gallery in Bonita Springs, Florida, a new gallery for me that I am happy to report is going strong despite hurricanes Helene and Milton.

Here’s Salon Dilemma, another, rather different, piece also at Marine Arts Gallery:

Salon Dilemma - 36”x36”

We’ve all been there. For what it’s worth, I think the bunny looks great as is. Maybe it’ll be easier for him to make up his mind after he takes a nap on that nice comfy couch.

Spot the Typo?

By the way, Salon Dilemma has a grammatical typo. Can you see it? The painting itself doesn’t contain the typo, but if you purchase the print, there it is. In my next newsletter I’ll tell you how this happened, and what I think it highlights about the positive and negative roles of AI in fine art. In the meantime, the first 10 people who email me ([email protected]) correctly identifying the typo will get a $10.00 discount code for my website. Grammar nerds assemble!

Lots of people talk to animals... Not very many listen, though... That's the problem.

Three National Leaders

Election season seems like a good time to revisit my 2019 political series of three portraits of national leaders, as ducks of course. All three were purchased by a single collector with a good sense of humor. Enjoy.

Putin - 8”x6”
